The Auer Dult offers everyone a relaxed folk festival atmosphere and is particularly popular
with families and children. There's a market for goods, curiosities, a crockery market, handi-
crafts and culinary delights, as well as fairground attractions, antiques, children's carousels
and delicacies. Family Day is Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 with various discounts. In short:

GÄUBODENVOLKSFEST 2026

The Gäubodenvolksfest is the second largest folk festival in Bavaria. 27,500 seats await the
visitors. Seven festival tents for the expected 1.4 million visitors from all over the world. 130
attractions and rides create a great atmosphere. With the traditional procession to the fair-
ground every year on the first Friday in August, the so-called fifth season begins in Straubing.

The 190th Oktoberfest in Munich is the world's largest folk festival. Over 15 large beer tents,
numerous rides and treats are ready year after year to delight the international audience.
The Oide Wiesn is taking place again this year. And that's right next to the Ferris wheel. The
two Family Days will be on September 19th and 22nd. In short:

The year is drawing to a close, and right on cue for Indian summer, the Auer Dult takes place
in Munich. A particularly popular and peaceful autumn fair takes place, especially for families
and children. Besides the crockery market, food stalls, fairground attractions, and children's
carousels the last rays of autumn sunshine recharge the visitors. October 21st, 2026 is the
Family Day with various discounts. In short:

Each artwork is presented in a passe-partout. The only exception: artwork in an oval frame.
The costumes are laced and clipped at the back. You do not have to completely undress,
even if it ends up looking like you did.
Our wardrobe staff will assist you with your costume options, as the Hofphotograph takes exclusively contemporary photos. The selection is overwhelming. Our guests choose from
different roles. Be it empress and duke, explorer, skier, hunter, soldier or tennis player. The
choice is yours.

Single person: €38
Regardless of age, in full, half or face portraits.
Pair: €52
Two people from all age groups.
Family: €75
Two adults with up to three children under 18 years of age.
For groups of 3 or more, the price is €33 per person.
One print in a passe-partout is included for each person.
Each additional print in a passe-partout: €18
Small data: €5
Small, non-printable data 1500 x 1080 pixels, 72 dpi for
Monitors and social media.
Large data package: €52
Printable data 300 dpi, size selectable.
In addition to the usual payment in cash and Euros, card payment is possible. The only ex-
ception is: American Express

The frame prices are of course additional and, except for the two oval frames, the prints
come in the usual passe-partout. The oval photo is cut out and the image-number is then
stuck to the back of the frame.

Our costumes and props are historically accurate, our photographic workflow is state-of-the-
art, in no way inferior to that of a fully-fledged photo studio.
In 2018, actress Cornelia and photographer and cameraman Nikolaus von Fürstenberg took
over the Hofphotograph. At this time, the 40-year-old car has been living in a barn for two
years already. For the von Fürstenbergs, it was love at first sight. Here the two worlds meet,
and their creativity allows the Royal Bavarian Hofphotograph to live on.
